Hi all. This is my first post. I'd like to say that I have been taking Effexor for years, and have been given Xanax as well, which I never take simply because I want to limit my intake of pharmaceuticals. The Effexor has done nothing for me, and it is so very difficult to wean off of it, which I decided to now do. What are your thoughts on medical marijuana? There is some stigma still associated with it, but I'm going to give it a go. Right now, I just want to jump out of my skin, and most times just right on the 'edge' of losing it. This weaning process is so bad!

Welcome Rule. My son in law takes medical marijuana to control his seizures. It works so much better than the traditional meds the docs gave him with no side effects. Other friends also use it for a wide variety of reasons. None of them has ever had a side effect. It is not a magic potion. It is not 100% effective. But is highly effective about 90% of the time and most importantly there are NO SIDE EFFECTS. None. In fact, blood pressure should go down a bit and thought processes should improve.
