What comes first..chicken or egg!

I know I suffer from being over anxious. I always seem by others to be confident and fun, but on the inside, I have self doubt and unhappiness.

Health issues have always been a problem in as much as I worry about symptoms and like many, need reassurance that what I have will get better soon.

I have Tinnitus, which some days is worse than others, but now have been told I have Sick Sinus Syndrone, discovered after ECG due to palpitations (which come with anxiety anyway).

I had no other major problems, but now am worried about my heart!

My blood test showed lack if B12, so taking a pill a day, but my GP didn't go into any other detail, so I have been looking everywhere for help and advice.

Has my over anxious state of mind affected my heart? If I try to relax more will it get better or not get worse?

The term sick, means poorly, but will improve I thought?

Well, now I am looking for more symptoms, which worries me because I have this!!!!

Chicken and egg...what can or should I do?

I am 69 and only take a Beachams Poweder when feeling cold like symptoms.

I just dont want to keep worrying.

The most common causes of SS is aging of your SA (sinoatrial) node. I’m hoping your doctor explained any courses of action you need to take such as taking medications, lifestyle changes, etc. My grandmother had a pacemaker for this.

I read another post of your about weight loss and other lifestyle enhancements such as making changes in diet, exercise that you could do to greatly improve your health and longevity. Stay off Google and keep looking for things to be wrong, this does increase stress and anxiety. Learning to relax, is important for health anxiety. Meditation, breathing exercises, listening to calming music, take a short walk, etc instead of worry. 😊

Keep working with your doctor regarding your health. Ask a lot questions, tell you doctor when he’s not explaining things clear enough, include your anxieties you have, he can help you with this by providing the reassurances through answering your questions.

Thanks...I think the main thing is having trust in a Dr. Who will listen...they dont have time or just want you to leave in the few minutes we are allowed at the appointment.

You and your insurance company are paying a high price for healthcare. If you need an extra 10 minutes, you ask for it. He’s giving that attention and time to other patients, you get to have the same time you are paying for.

👋, The best thing is to remember your doctor is looking after you. The doctor is paid to "worry". All you need to do is listen to one trusted advisor (the doc) and use our support if required. Easier said than done sometimes for sure 👌
