Hey everyone , its been about a week since i joined this website , and about a month since i started suffering from severe panic attacks and anxiety , in addition to health anxiety because i have severe fear that stress will cause me to develop heart disease etc.. i also started suffering lack of appetite that im slowly trying to overcome , i still get these mini panic attacks though about worrying on relapsing and losing my progress i made eventhough i know that will likely not happen , and im worried that i will keep getting severe migrianes with aura that cause horrible physical symptoms , shakiness and nasuea , i have improved since last time where my bp would rise rapidly by just the thought of stress , but now i have more hope and i feel like i have better control of my thoughts, but im still sometimes finding myself worrying about irrational thoughts and weird things that are unlikely to ever happen , im still young and physically healthy but some situations cause me to worry about stuff like heart attacks and strokes , like “WHAT IF” this cant go off my mind , and regardless of meditation and other ways to distract or calm myself , i feel like i still cant 100% control my thoughts or get better , i domt want to stay like this but i just want to be emotionally stronger because im sick of being anxious over the simplest of things , whenever i think about something i start getting it like stress , high bp , shakiness, nasuea , its so scary and i just dont know what to do , ive done so much and it got better but i still feel scared sometimes

Anxiety and fear
Hi. Ive been reading your posts and trying to help you but the truth is these things will continue unless you take action and do something. You gotta take action.
Take the advice of all the people that have responded to you on the site and do something.
You are not going to get anywhere if u use this site to ramble on and on and on.
You are sick and tired of being sick and tired, right? Ok then do something!
Trust me i am , amd im feeling better, im not trying to sound petty or obnoxious or something , but im giving updates about my situations , i think people can help more or support more if they know more about me , isnt this whats it all about
Im trying meditation which helps , talking to family members , activities like sports , distractions , if i had not done something trust me i wouldnt be in this website , thanks for your rambling though
And what you are calling rambling is actually a way for people to express their feeling , me talking about stress and anxiety is not just a way of talking its a way to help myself and others didnt u say u read my posts , i doubt ..i know u r trying to help and u think u know what u r talking about but lets face it u dont, just going and doing something , telling that to someone with serious mental illnesss like chronic depression who probably is on the verge of suiside will probably end their life by a simple comment like urs , be careful what you say even if it doesnt sound on ur point if view , but someone who comes here as a last resort just be careful !
If a person is here on the verge of suicide then they need to seek professional help. Professional help is not what is sought out here. And yes, I am trying to help you. And you are wrong when you say I know nothing about these things. I know a lot actually and I know enough to say that it seems like what you are doing to help yourself is not enough.
I should not have used the word rambling. That was harsh but it did get your attention and that was my whole point- to get your attention.
I think I made my point. I hope you find what you are seeking in life
Yes it is a bit harsh but not for me , trust me my problems are not even a quarter as bad as others , but talking helps me and if it sounds like i just sit around and do nothing u r wrong , writing and talking about your feelings helps l and not everyone has access to professional help , for me its too expensive to go regularly so i try my best to find other solutions , like support from people here when i have rough days and when i feel terrible , also to get advices on people who wemt through similar conditions because i believe there is no need to live like this if someone can easily give solutions , and i dont want to result to meds and therapy just yet im too young and i dont need that , i just suffered many unfortunate events in a raw these past 2 months and imcouldnt catch a break , so i felt like i cant be calm and control my thoughts like i did before , and i just need help getting back to normal , thank you for your help i guess but know that sometimes people can take offense when they are trying to watch their progress and talk about themselves and their stories and then being shut down.. its not very nice trust me
And sometimes people need a reality check, it's not about being mean.
Seeing the truth has always helped me. The reality. You know, " the truth will set you free" is very true.
It's when we see the reality of our situation is when we can be on a path of better health.
I guess you are right , i really understand where u r coming from , and i do feel that i maybe overreacting , but its just that some people are fine without talkin and just dealing silently , others want to share their stories in order to recieve support or just feel proud of their achievments , and that is normal , we dont want attention , we seriously want to express , i apologize if i sounded overdramatic or sounded too pushy or something , but i just want to show my progress and my thoughts throughout this journey .. and i will take any advice and i will do it its fine
Hi Kevin!
It sounds like you are making tremendous progress and in a really short time. It is so normal/common what you are experiencing. Recovery isn't an overnight thing of course. It sounds to me like you are headed completely in the right direction. Remember one of Dr. Weekes' important messages: Let time pass. The sensitized nervous system needs time to settle down. Also remember: Setbacks are your friend. They give you opportunities to practice the correct reaction.
I haven't read all your posts- are you in therapy? Can be so helpful! And you have seen your doc about all this, yes?
I'll just add that my teen daughter has been through all of this and she is doing great. Perfect? no! She's 16. And no one is ever done growing and learning. But she has grown so much from this. She is my absolute hero. I'll also add that as she has gone on this journey, we have met so many teens (DBT class and her therapy center is a well-known place for teens in our area) who are going through this and are feeling better and better on their journeys. Some of the teens we both know. It was so reassuring to her to see so many of her peers from school and the community getting the help they needed. I think it made her feel less alone and unique in all of this.
You can check out the resources on my profile if you like. They've helped both my daughter and me so much. There's some excellent, free or very low-cost ($10 books) therapy there
Keep posting here. I believe it can be very helpful for people to get it all out sometimes and seek support from others.
Lastly- let me know if you like hip hop/rap. I know that sounds like a total digression, but there's a rap artist I'll recommend to you if that's music you like. This particular artist helped my daughter a lot as well
