I've hit a low

I have been molested by my step father, raped and physically abused by my very first boyfriend, emotionally and mentally abused by my ex boyfriend and my mother, and abandoned by my mother. However, none of that pain can compare to the pain. I feel right now. My dad just called me telling me my dog back home isn't doing to well. I've had her since I was eleven and she is the main reason reason I'm still alive. She has a rotting tooth and has stopped eating and the vet wants her on medication for a week before surgery that they aren't even sure she can have because she was developed breathing problems. I just can't fathom a life without her. I've had her for almost thirteen years. She's protected me from myself and other random animals around the farm. I can't go home to be with her and I feel like my heart is breaking into pieces. I'm lost and feeling hopeless while trying to keep telling myself that she's a strong puppy and that she'll be ok.

What a wonderful dog. I believe they are spirits sent to help us. I will pray for her recovery. Hope you can somehow be w her. I lost my dog, much worse than losing people. I still miss her , she was my only true friend. My only family. If there is anything I can do pls let me know. Heartbreaking. Pls try to be strong for the puppy. I'm so sorry abt your abuse, i, unfortunately understand completely ( similar things happened to me) truly a miracle you've survived. I know how hard it is to live w all of that. Wish you love, and hope.

I just wish I would have gone back home sooner. With everything I know now I could have caught it. Now with Covid and the military cracking down on travel restrictions I can’t go home to be with her. If she can get the surgery I’m going to help pay for it. I’m just scared and kicking myself.😔

She lives in Illinois. I really really appreciate you for offering. She has my dad and I’m about to send a new toy that smells like me to see if that will help her.❤️

You have beeb through a rough time in your personal life, what you describe is against the law in most places you can visit.

A dog, is the friend you have, like family that does not question your love and is always there for you. Sad to say dogs like humans do get rotten teeth, this damage can be made worse if the dog gets an abscess, so the VET will most probably need to reduce the infection before extraction. So it is important you get your dog treated.

Yes your dog is getting older, yes there may be risks, however not getting the treatment needed will just make the prognosis even worse. We had a Jack Russell and He survived until thirteen because He got Cancer in a toe and it spread throughout the body in a couple of months, so get your dog in and start the treatments that are needed

We now have a Collie Cross, He is nine years old and we are very proactive with His Health. He gets what He needs and is covered by Health Insurance.

It is so very important you get Him sorted the abcess will start reducung Her immune system

Good Luck, with your furry partner, let us know how you and dog get on

Thank you, my dad told me he’ll keep me updated. If she’s able to get surgery I told my dad I’d help him pay for it. My dad has never experienced a dog getting a bad tooth so when she got sluggish he just thought it was the heat getting to her. I’m just kicking myself because I should have gone back home sooner and now I can’t because of Covid. 😞

Try not to worry about what is going on, dogs do quite often have toothache and understandably they do feel pain as does a Human. The jaw and the teeth are different than a humans and some dogs have this type of problem

Our Pax goes through A Medical every twelve months and we always get the mouth checked when He visits the VET for other health issues. Your dog will be sedated while they do the extraction and will be back home for Her Dinner afterwards, something soft will go down very well indeed, try not to worry

Let us know how She gets on
