hi, everyone! i'm new to this group. i have been feeling pretty low lately and i guess i'm just looking for a place where i feel supported and less alone.. anyway, i'm happy i found this. i read through a couple of the posts and i'm happy to have found you guys. i guess i've been feeling sad for some time now but I have never been diagnosed with anything.

I don't know if you have family or friends that could support you during this down time, but reach out to them as well as to this group. It can be overwhelming to be alone so instead of doing that, contact a friend to go out for dinner or a walk. Glad that you are here.

Greetings lonelycat. Marsdream makes some good suggestions here. I'd also recommend reflecting on any and all things, about your current life situation, that bother you. Then select one of the smaller issues, that you can have direct control over, and enact a plan of positive change. You may find that little victories can escalate to bigger ones.

I think a lot of people are sad right now, so much going on and it gets overwhelming. I'm glad you found us here and hope you find peace and encouragement! =) some things many have found helped with a lingering sadness and depression/anxiety are taking magnesium and ginseng, since they calm the mind body and spirit and get rid of sticky negative thoughts. Also, helping others helps us too. It takes our mind off of our own problems. When you need distracted put on a good funny show or audio to laugh, it is healing and helps a lot! Hoping you find some positive to focus on and breathe deep in peace and out sorrow. <3
