Hi. It's great that you are so clear about what you are looking for. Here are some grounding ideas that focus on using our hands and arms. Hope they help or at least help you identify other things that you find useful.

* Use the thumb of one hand to press around the palm of the other hand.

* Rub the palms of your hands together over and over again for a minute or more.

* Push your palms together and hold for 5 to 10 seconds. Release. Repeat.

* Push against the wall with flat palms and feet planted on the floor for 5 to 10 seconds. Release. Repeat.

* Bring your hands (arms extended) in front of you, then bring the arms down. Then bring your arms (still extended) to the side, and then down. Repeat a few times. Then shake your arms out.

Hi there.. I would suggest yoga ,meditation & talk therapy., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I'm wondering why you are looking for other than breathing tools. Breathing has a lot to do with stabilizing yourself and that means stabilizing your anxiety

I would suggest the CARE app put out free by Kaiser -Permanente Institute and there are also other self care apps.

McK, I hope you give "breathing" a try.

It took me many years of medication and therapy before

I realized that breathing put me back in control of my life.

I also do meditation daily. It takes practice but it will help. :) xx
