Hello, I'm 55 and I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar one with Major Depression and ADD. I was diagnosed with a severs anxiety and been on 8mg of Xanax since then, but now on Adderal and Latuda along with Cymbalta and Wellbutrin, I take maybe 1/2 a Xanax a week, my focus has never been nearly this good and I am going back to school full time.

Did I read that right? 8mg of Xanax? That alone would suppress your anxiety. I’m on .5mg. So glad it has helped you.

I love my Cymbalta. It has helped my depression but also my Fibromyalgia. I did get a tweak of Lexapro added as I am.taking highest dose of Cymbalta. I take 2mg Valium as need for extra anxiety. Xanax was causing headaches. Congratulations on returning t lo school

I too love my Cymbalta. I have Fibromyalgia also along with depression. I have been on anti depressants since the early 1990's and I am having so much more improvement than I have ever had. Yea! Cymbalta, Boo Fibro and Depression. Sorry, just feeling a little silly this morning.

I was going to start with 20 mg of Cymbalta for situational depression and neuropathy, I'm worried about side effects, did you have any problems?

I did not have any side effect. I don't think I have ever had side effects of any drug I have ever taken. I take quite a few because of other medical issues.

I started with 20mg for a month then began taking Cymbalta 20mg in the morning and evening. Hopefully you will have good results.

Did you take it for neuropathy or just depression

I take it for Fibromyalgia and depression. I do have neuropathy from diabetes. My dr told me Cymbalta was developed for Fibro but that is work well for depression. I was in a pain clinic and those drs say antidepressant also work on pain.

Just have to respond to this old post. Was diagnosed with bipolar 2 at 28 and ADHD (VAST) at 50. Trying atomozetine Straterra, but not sure about the results. Trying a new career that seems to be awful for someone with ADHD. Wish I could find something and go back for a masters degree and then teach.
