Hello everyone! I want to share my experience of the first consultation with a therapist.
I was very nervous. But everything went well. It was difficult for me to start telling, but the therapist helped me open up. When I started talking, everything went like clockwork. Then we raised one important topic for me that no one has discussed with me like that. I even cried. We also did one exercise. And I got homework.
My psychotherapist is a very nice person. She gave me hope that my problems can be solved.
During the consultation process, I experienced only one problem - it was difficult for me to describe the emotions that I felt. Something like alexithymia, you know?
In general, everything went well. We agreed on the next consultation. And I really hope that therapy will help me.

I'm glad to hear that your first session went well! It's so important to find a therapist that makes you feel comfortable so i'm glad you seem to have found that so far!
Thank you for sharing this. I've been really considering starting therapy as well but keep backing out because of fear or finances. However, I keep thinking it might be worth it. I hope it all continues to go well for you and that you get the answers and peace you need.
For a long time I could not start therapy for the same reasons. Just at one moment I realized that my problems affect all areas of my life and that this needs to be changed.
After the first consultation with a therapist, I had one thought - "I had to do this a long time ago." After all, health is the most important thing, both mental and physical.

Good for you, I am pleased for you it went so well. I swear by therapy, and suspect that just about every last human being would benefit by it. I know it helped me to get rid of fears, build my self esteem, changed my world only for the better. I finally became a 100 % functioning human being, have lived over 20 years now with no fear, worry or self doubts. Keep going, I hope we hear more positive mails from you. Yes, you are very right. Therapy/CBT/Counselling is the best way to treat mental health issues. I also took my Psychotherapy session when I suffered through anxiety a few months back from here ezcareclinic.com/mental-hea.... And worked wonderfully for me. I got amazing results from therapy rather than medicines.
