I started an increase in my Sertraline and Buspirone yesterday (doctor ordered). I'm hoping this is the upward slope so to speak. My depression and anxiety have been on a rapid decline (getting worse) lately, so I'm hoping the increase in meds will help. I've been doing everything that my therapist has recommended for coping skills, and it either doesn't work, or works very little.

Thank you, I know it was fairly slow the first initial time of starting the medication also, so I'm trying to remember to be patient.

I tried several meds before Bupropion finally helped. They were trying to treat the anxiety when depression was the major issue. It takes a while but it gradually starts to work, hang in there.

I think right now my problem is more depression, but the anxiety will sneak back in when I start summer school on June 1st. Right now I just finished up my spring semester and I have a break which has been nice except our power being off Sunday-Tuesday.

Hi HJam.

Yes it could be that they have not gotten you up to your needed dosage of you anti depressant yet. The needed dose is when you start to feel better and stay that way.
