How long does it for brain fog to go away after general anesthesia?

How long do you feel like you are in a fog after general anesthesia? Had oral surgery yesterday and I feel like I'm in a dream. It's giving me lots of anxiety. Is this normal?

General anesthesia wears off fairly quickly. Are you eating and hydrating today? Are you in pain, taking any meds for that?

Try to combat your anxiety by trying deep breathing techniques, muscle relaxation techniques, doing something else to refocus your thoughts like listening to music or doing anything that will redirect your ruminating thoughts to something else.

It might be the exhaustion from the surgery and pain. Just really out of it. I did a lot of deep breathing before the surgery and that helped.

U can drive 24 hours after a general. It could be pain killers you are on or the pain itself. Are u on anti-biotics as well? They can really knock u down as well... take it easy, relax... dental surgery is not fun at all... 😊Feel better soon... 🌷remember to add probiotics into your diet like in activia yogurt with any anti biotic...
