Ugh. Again. Had a stressful day now I’m on the sofa with extreme brain fog and nausea. Does anything help with this feeling? It’s like a cortisol hangover feeling

Nausea, I get from time to time from warmer weather. Do your best to stay cool and hydrated. Think drinking lots of cold water here.

I get the brain fog all the time, especially from excessive worry or stress. (I suffer from Extreme GAD)

It sucks, but, "The brain fog will pass."

Best thing to do with the brain fog stuff. Music is a good stress relief, but POST IT NOTES WITHIN YOUR EYESIGHT RANGE are critical.

(Especially at home) Get yourself some post it notes, and for me I write down things (I don't care how simple the task is) write down what needs to be done today, or things that you don't want to forget to do. I try to keep my post-it notes by my computer mouse.

Putting things on post-its helps you by not wasting energy trying to remember, and you're giving your brain a break/rest.

Some people like to do the post it stuff in their phone, but I prefer to use the traditional post-it notes here, because it's easier to see, and the phone might get you distracted into doing something else. (especially if you need to take a call or answer a text message)

Z007, I agree with Silver in that after a long stressful day you could very well bedehydrated causing these symptoms. Time to regenerate the Mind and Body.

Find a quiet comfortable place to call your own for 20 min or so. Breathe. Bring

your shoulders down away from your ears and relaxxxx.

Tune into YouTube and listen to a short Relaxation Video allowing each muscle in

your body to relax. Breathing in from the belly can give you enough oxygen to help

relax those muscles....hold for a few seconds and slowly blow out a long slow exhale.

This will calm down the stored up adrenaline of the day and quiet down your

over sensitized nervous system. Close your eyes while listening to this video.

Anytime your thoughts stray, kick them to the curb and continue with your breathing.

When you feel like it, slowly open your eyes and sit for a moment focusing on the present.

It would be a good idea to have something light to eat to help bring up your blood sugar.

I wish you well. :) xx

Breathing and water are good advices! Sometimes I use fluid replacement tablets. If your brain fog is cause by muscle tensions you might also try body scan meditation.

How are you doing today? I find that stepping out into fresh air helps. Deep breathe it in. Sometimes a dim room with a candle with scent helps me. Best to you. ❤️

Hi. I did get out today. Went to Costco and then to my community pool. This did help me but the minute I’m not “distracted” I fall right back into the “fog”./“nausea because my thoughts go right back to the stress. It’s crazy just how the stress and anxiety has such a physical effect on me. 🙏🙏🙏
