Can't Sleep

I notice that this is a very common problem here, so I thought I would pass this along.

My wife and I both go through periods where we can't sleep. When I got up to go to the bathroom, my wife said she hadn't fallen asleep yet, I asked her what she was thinking about, and before she answered she started snoring!

I know I do the same thing sometimes, I dream that I'm awake. I know not everyone does this, and we don't do it all the time, but it isn't infrequent especially when we feel stressed. Of course we both feel stressed when we can't sleep! I think it helps to know this. If you don't have a partner, you might be able to use a cheap voice recorder, that will record your breathing.

Just an idea!

I use meditation and various relaxing sounds.

Now my husband and grand daughter use these also.

I never sleep all night but I'm able to stop the thoughts in my head.

I couldn't sleep last night (normal) either. I've downloaded a bunch of nature sound apps that helped for a while then I find the crickets or rain annoying. I purchased/downloaded a wonderful mp3 of spa music. It played all night and I actually woke up feeling a tad rested. The artist is peder b. Helland, "flying ".

Soo true, and I don't want it to be any other way, for the sake of either of us.

Funny I was posting a complaint about her, as you were writing this!

Thanks for the wake up!

We really are doing much much better than we were a couple years ago. Especially since I have quit all the drugs (prescription) I used to take. I thought things would improve, but in a way they have gotten worse. I've always used drugs to cope, and I've always been irritable.

But now I don't have that to fall back on.

Oh well, nothing to do, but remind myself of the goal, and to redouble my efforts.

I know I will prevail in the end, and we will both be much happier!

Thank You for your encouragement, it really helps to have support at times like this!
