Feeling lost

I have been suffering with anxiety and depression most of my teen years up to now due to severe bullying including death threats from my so called best-friends. This left me feeling like I couldn't trust anybody, until I met a new group of friends last year and I am currently living with them and now I feel like its happening all over again as I have never felt so alone. I'm currently in hospital recovery from a surgery after having one of the hardest days of my life and they have all decided this is the best time to gang up on me and saying they don't want to live with me anymore cause I'm never there anyway (because I've been at home ill) and I'm being dramatic about my illness. I feel like I have no one left and no where to turn to.

I would rather not have them in my life but I live with them so I don't even have the choice to leave until june when my tenancy ends

do you have family you could live with.you could end your part in the tenancy agreement due to exceptional circumstances i.e your health and breakdown of relations with fellow tenants.

no worries you should get a copy of your contract if you did leave you could reclaim any money owed.

No you are not being dramatic. You don't need these kind of people. They can't be really called friends if they kept bullying you. Friends don't do that. True friends are there even if you go through hell. They will still be there for you.

Ah no, that's not fair.

Sometimes people don't get what you're going through unless they've gone through something similar. So if they're all sociable and always there having fun they may not be able to understand that you're not because of other things. So they just say you're no fun and you can't be bothered to be there which soooo isn't the case, I get how you feel.

I'm not sure what you can do, perhaps when you need to go back to uni and have recovered, have a chat with them and be honest; it may be difficult, explaining that you're actually a pretty decent person just going through a lot of stuff. Maybe that's not you and that's fine too, if it doesn't feel right then don't waste energy on them. Perhaps they've got the wrong end of things, sometimes it's an age vs maturity thing.

Hmm could you talk to uni: I know when I had houseshare issues they helped me put an advert up about the house so I could look for another student to replace me in that house and release the money I'd already paid so I could look somewhere else - uni's tend to have emergency accomodation too.

Sorry I know I'm not much help.

I am sorry you are facing this! Have you had a chance to speak with a counselor about this? Sometimes speaking with a counselor can help give perspective. I know when I was having to deal with difficult relationships I had to learn to set really firm boundaries but was unsure how to do this. If you have a chance there is another resource I found really helpful! It is a book by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend called "Boundaries." Best wishes to you!
