Good Article if you live in the States

Interesting article. My insurance for '20 only allows for two mental health visits. TWO!!! I was allowed ten visits in 2019.
That’s ridiculous! I pay $100 per session. I haven’t gone in a while. I can’t afford it! It’s not right, this whole crisis.
From personal experience, in a rural area you can call providers individually and ask if they offer discounts, explain your financial situation. It may take a few calls but you should be able to find one. If you live in an urban area, then check out your local community colleges/universities. Many that have any social education or psychology programs also offer counseling sessions to the public at a reduced price. I’ve found them as cheap at $20 per session for those without insurance. Also check with your primary physician, ask about options for mental health and counseling. If all else fails check out your local churches, even if you’re not religious, they may have some people with open ears that would be willing to listen and help find resources... like maybe someone in their congregation is a counselor/therapist and they could help connect you with them.
Very good advice, thank you...
