I woke up this morning, wishing I was a bird, so I could fly to warmer weather when it got cold. Then I could fly away from my house and its problems, and simply live in a nest, fulfilling my minimalist dream. I could also build several nests, and travel from nest to nest, because I love to travel. I imagine that flying is similar to swimming, and that's also something that relaxes me. I'd want to be a smart bird though, like a raven or a crow.
If you could be any animal in the world, which animal would you be? Why?

I change my answer. I'm going to be a lone wolf too, and follow you around, so you can't be a lone wolf 😆. But then I guess I won't be a lone wolf either 🤔?
You’d be a considered a couple if you hooked up with another lone wolf. Then in time, there’d be little mouths to feed and then the couple would become a pack. A pack is a good thing. Safety in numbers and the conversation wouldn’t go stale. Lol
I’d be a black stallion mustang…roaming freely, the wind in my long mane, doing what wild horses do. Probably someplace in Montana where mustangs aren’t culled or captured. Being free is a hard life sometimes, but from a mustangs point of view…..it’s so worth it. Even Robert Redford couldn’t change my mind. He talks too quietly, anyway. 🐎💨
I always wanted to fly. So I went sky diving. I would like to be a bird that migrates. Plus, they usually mate for life, so you'd always have a buddy! But ... If I could morph into a horse, because I love riding, that would be the dream!
I have to agree with Bird. Having been a documentary buff my whole life I've seen how a lot of creatures live and what they eat, so more specifically I would like to be a Wild Scarlet Macaw, living in Costa Rica. I love eating fruit, seeds, and nuts. They seem to live a pretty good life in the wild from what I've seen.
I never in a million years thought I would take to it. But I find it very relaxing especially when my head isn't in a good place. What sort of fishing did you and your dad do? Cherish them memories! X
We did saltwater in the east coast shores of Delaware and Maryland. We also caught crabs. Truthfully, my dad did most of the work. Me and my brother were too afraid to handle the bait and fish. But when the line tugged, we reeled the fish in. Sometimes, I'd feel bad for the crabs and set them free. My dad set most of our catches free though, especially if they looked too young. We'd take home just a few for dinner.
Yeah it's catch and release here in the UK. I've not actually tried fishing properly lol. I will one day and probably get excited when I catch a tiddly one Haha. Hubby and I went crab fishing a few years ago in the rock pools. It was fun. X
By the way everyone, thanks for all these responses. I was feeling like crap this morning, but I'm feeling much lighter now from these responses, like I can make it through the day.
Dog cuz they're unconditional love personified, or dog-sonified. They don't have to talk to understand you and would give their loyalty to you without an agenda or expectation for anything in return from you but your love.
To me they represent the best parts of myself that seem to get buried underneath my mental health challenges. Dogs don't have mental health problems and I wish I could be more like that.
Oh gosh, I wish that were true. I fostered a couple of dogs. One had been a street dog for so long, he didn't trust anyone. Spent most of his time with his back to the wall. Another, I have no idea what happened to him, but he bit me, and the two owners that adopted him. He was ultimately returned both times, and I don't know his fate. But I do know what you mean. The ones that have only known love or at least some level of security are wonderful.
Lately Ive been watching Youtube short videos of Gorillas eating. They always make me smile, they look so relaxed and comfortable crunching away on fruits and vegetables
I love gorillas. They are one of my favorite animals. There's this really sweet documentary on youtube about a single dad gorilla raising his daughter by himself.
I would be a dragonfly because as well as being beautiful! they are the most accomplished pilots ever and they can fly forwards and backwards and also sideways, I just love to watch them darting about with their beautiful iridescent wings. Also they have 300 degree vision, now that is really cool…
The most amazing and wonderful dreams I have had are of my being able to fly like a bird and fly anywhere I wanted and land and take off again with ease. I could fly up onto tall buildings and towers and just look at the view or fly over tree tops and valleys and see what I wanted. They were invigorating dreams and I wish I had more like that, they seemed so real. I read later that they can mean that I had a good emotional healing spurt, so my answer is an eagle.
I've had quite a few dreams of flying. There were two in particular, one where I was flying through clouds and another through a golden city, that left me with a great sense of peace I had never felt before in my life. I experienced this probably in the absolute darkest period of my life. But whatever it was, biological or spiritual, it gave me the will to survive. But I've also had nightmares of flying that brought so much fear, I willed myself to wake up immediately.
