Wanted to thank everyone for the support and advice I've recieved. My appointment with my therapist is 24 hours away. My husband didn't have to work last night and stepped up cooking and running to the store. In the past I haven't told him when my depression gets really bad. Don't want him to worry. This time we have talked alot. He is still concerned but talking to him has helped. I even managed to find ten things to put on my I DID list yesterday. Some of them were small things such as feeding the dog and washing the water bowl but they remind me that what I do matters. Today I plan to rest. Drink plenty of fluids and take my Vitamin C. Truly hope all of you have a wonderful day. And again thank you. HUGS and BLESSINGS!

I love this post so much! It’s good that you talked to your husband. It’s way better to help him understand than cause him anxiety and worry. BTW There are no “little” things when we’re depressed. Heck, I’m impressed I took a shower this morning!
So great you have a husband that is supportive and you can talk and confide in. The communication between you two sounds wonderful. Take it easy! Self care is always good.
I will. Thank you.
Happy to hear you are getting in to see your therapist- sometimes that’s just what’s needed when dealing with this anxiety and panic. Are you on any medication? I recently went back on Lexapro after about a year off but I’m not having much results yet. Hesitate to take Xanax but dealing with a health issue right now is making it hard not to . I like you idea of an I Did list - I may try that !
Peace & blessings to you
I do take medication. Hoping to avoid messing around with any changes. I know the combination of the holidays and some traumatic memories that come up around them along with winter and some very stressful ongoing situations in my life that I've been dealing with since July. So much at once has become too much for me. So I will need a little extra help this year to get through the winter.
Sounds like you're taking charge of your mental health! So proud of you!
I'm so glad to hear you have support and were open with your husband! That does help so much! Some things that help with depression are: Taking magnesium and ginseng to calm the body, mind and soul. They also get rid of those sticky negative thoughts and feelings that get us down. Yes, they really work. There are so many things to help us on this earth. Also, I get outside, breathe deep in creation, touch the earth and look at the stars. That helps me remember the bigness of life and the constant faithfulness of it all. Also I meditate on wise words and stretch myself thru learning, art and groups like meetups, studies and classes. Anxiety and depression are so much more a problem than they used to be, some of spiritual, some of it physical. <3 Lifting you up to the Maker for peace and joy!
