This is about me, my mri, and anxiety

I did this for all of my anxiety suffering friends on site. I'm always telling people that they can recover from anxiety and panic and they can. It has been some years since I've done that and I've probably forgotten how hard it is to do. So as I am very claustrophobic I had a tranquilizer to take for the mri. I decided not to take it just to prove I could still hold my own with anxiety and panic. I did it! I am a beast! Now I get to tell you how brutal it was. The tube thing is smaller and tighter than they used to be and it was so hot. I had to really focus to keep the panic at bay. I could feel it hovering at the edges waiting to envelope me. I had to use my breathing a couple of times. So I say to all of you it is harder than I remember but it can be done. You can recover. Pam

ever do that. I cant even use elevators, i once climbed 9 flights of stairs.

Hi pam nice to see you it's been a while I enjoy your posts! I understand what you mean about the mri being claustrophobic I've had several and only managed to doing 3 in total! Anyone who's claustrophobic should ask for something to help them! Again its nice to hear you on here take care my friend david x
