New Medication?

Hey guys, my doctor, along with my therapist, prescribed Bupropion, 100 mg. SR, and I have yet to take it. I was dumb and read reviews and the side effects online. I have a HUGE fear of vomiting so when I saw the side effect or nausea and possible vomiting it freaked me out.

If anyone’s ever taken this medication or has before, can you just brief me on what it was like for you?

I did for eight years and then stopped all meds. It made me drowsy so I couldn't take it in the morning because I couldn't drive. It numbed my emotions, gave me a terrible memory. I would get in an elevator and not remember I needed to hit the button or walk in a room and took a minute before thinking of turning the light on. Good for anxiety but I was a zombie. Could be different for you. Just my experience. Sometimes nausea, no vomiting though.

Thanks for the input! They prescribed me a lower dose of 100mg and it’s the SR. If you don’t mind me asking, how much were you on?

Oh gosh. It's a different med. Sorry. Mine was buspirone 10mg. My bad.

I was on it and had no problems. I can't remember dosage but it was definitely SR.

Every med side effect list probably has nausea listed as anything you put in your stomach has the potential for

Upset.

I can't remember if it suggested with or without food?

The only way to know is to try it and see what happens. It will be worth it if it works.
