So I’m 17 years old and I have my learners license so I can drive with an adult. I know how to drive pretty well but I’ve avoided getting my license because of anxiety surrounding driving. It’s not even a cognitive thought process, it is just a physical reaction when I drive. I end up getting out of the car frazzled and my legs feel like jello. I usually need a few minutes to breathe after but none of it impairs my driving, it just makes me hesitant to get behind the wheel. Does anyone experience anything similar and have some tips? I’d really love to get my license and drive to work but I’m not sure how to cope

Driving is scary, you are having a normal reaction. It will pass. The more you drive, the more relaxed you will become however don't ever get to relaxed. Driving is serious business. You'll be fine, just keep driving
I was 18 when I got my license. Driving has always made me nervous, and still does, even 10 years later. The only thing that makes it better is practice. Get the license, drive the same routes until you're comfortable, drive carefully, avoid driving in the snow.
Oh, and get full coverage auto insurance. My folks went cheap for the insurance that only covers the other person's car, and it cost us a pretty penny when I wrecked it.
Hello
Did you manage to get your full licence?
I don’t have it yet but I can go take the test whenever
Do you think I would make a difference if you did it and passed it?
