I have a history of depression and anxiety, but my main problem is suicidal thoughts/ suicidal ideation. I get suicidal thoughts that don’t have a reason for being there. So I was started on lithium in the hospital. And it worked for a little while but then all of a sudden I started getting suicidal thoughts once again. I suppose one thing that could have started the thoughts was going back to school, I started thinking about my future and career path and the normal thing a high school senior thinks, but for me it gets me overwhelmed and stressed and I have suicidal thoughts despite being told to take things slowly. School is a big stressor and trigger for me most of the time. But aside from that the main problem was I was getting suicidal thoughts for no reason. Such as being In a crowded location that made me suicidal. And these thoughts are overwhelming and very strong. I was taking a final today and I all of a sudden got suicidal thoughts. In addition my mind has been judging me a lot recently. Sometimes I imagine people are there judging me but I don’t see them. The suicidal thoughts have the reasoning of death is an easier option than living life. Does anyone else get suicidal thoughts out of nowhere? I feel like I am the only one.

I used to suffer from depression and had suicidal thoughts as well in the past. All these were hugely reduced when I changed my diet! I went to a holistic doctor who gave me a diet. I m not saying everyone s like me and maybe it will not work for you but I believe it s worth a shot. Since then I read a lot about diet and how it can affect our mood. I can tell you I felt differently within three days after the new diet and it kept improving.I stopped having unreasonable fears that my partner was going to abandon me. He had n o t given me any reasons to be afraid but I still had the fears. Now I have anxiety with other peoplethat I m trying to work on, but I don t have depression or suicidal thoughts. My doctor told me to stop sugar completely as it causes depression, so no more sweets. Also no crisps at all as they have trans fats that mess with your brain. Also no wheat, no corn , nothing that contains gluten. And no dairy.
so what would I eat? Lots of fruit in the morning to detox body. Then a nice omelette with avocado , blended sundries tomatoes and olives and some broccoli for example for breakfast. Nuts for snacks. Only almonds and walnuts though. Organic lamb with veg or vegetable risotto for lunch and maybe sardines with veg for dinner. Generally organic meat and fish with low mercury. I stayed completely out of processed for a few months and later I added buckwheat pasta or rice flour and Stevie sugar and made my own recipes. You can try the diet for a week and see if it helps you if you want. Good luck. Do n t give up. There are others that feel like you. You are not alone.
