I had a major panic attack yesterday afternoon and then a mini one last night. Waking up this morning I have a headache and my throat hurts from hyperventilating. Anyone else get like this or are my allergies tricking me?

Gee I don't know about that as I'm no Dr. but all the side effects from our disease is amazing. It could be your allergies, mine have been going crazy with this weather. I wish for you peace of mind! Love, light, joy & hugs!

Same here. The worst part is that it's so random. You're ok-ish one second and then you can't breathe.

Yea the ups & downs..riding it through is the best we can do. It will pass though, that's the good news! Love, peace, light, joy & hugs for you!

Misfit23 I do not have panic attacks but my daughter does. It has been her experience that she often gets headaches and sore throat from hyperventilation. I have allergies too and it is also possible. My advice is to take your allergy medication and if there is no improvement I would say it is safe to say it is very likely from hyperventilation.

I, too, get headaches and a sore throat. The sore throat comes from hyperventilating, I believe. As explained to me, when we hyperventilate, our brain may not get all the oxygen it wants. That can make us feel faint. And it can cause headaches as much as 24 hours later. It seems to be a rather common side effect. Can you take your allergy meds as a precaution? f I were you, I'd ask my doctor how to tell the difference between an allergy headache and a panic attack one.

Hoping you find comfort.

Thank you. I use Flonase every morning anyway so I'm thinking it might've been a combination.
