The exercise of being positive is a bit difficult for me right now. My therapist said I should start saying positive affirmations to myself in the mirror three times a day every day and gave me a list of things to say. I didn't really agree with them. That's a misuse of words, I didn't really connect to the words. Some of them felt incomplete to me, like... I attract to me an unlimited abundance and I thought, yeah, that's true. I attract an unlimited abundance of BS. That's accurate, but I don't need a reminder of that three times a day, every day. I have the ones she gave me, but I wrote out a few of my own and thought I'd share.
What are your positive affirmations?

Reading my affirmations for the first couple of days was crazy. I could not stop laughing; those words were opposite to who I was at least at that stage. Like you I compiled my affirmations, and they are more or less similar to yours.
I finished watching this TED talk, the story towards the end reminded me of what you were saying in your post. It is really inspiring. I hope you will find it useful.
