Due to insurance I have to go to a rather large mental health clinic. It can take months to get a first appointment. My current psychologist (I've seen her twice) does not feel like a good fit for me. I have requested a change, but don't know how long it might take. Is it better to see someone who doesn't feel comfortable, or to wait it out hoping the next is better?

Finding a therapist that fits?
Personally I would wait if you can. x
Do you feel you can wait it out or do you need to see someone? Depends on why you don't feel it is a good fit. Sometimes we just don't like what they have to say but maybe something we need to hear. Or.. it maybe you need to change. I was in the same situation but had other support/case management and psychiatrist. It did take a while. Do you have a team or just one person that you see?
For me not having the right therapist actually made things worse not better but with a support team like everyone here, it might be better to wait.
May you be blessed with the strength to keep going strong and to find the right therapist quickly
I started seeing a therapist a few weeks ago & he hit on me two weeks ago. I haven’t been back to him since. I think your happiness & comfort matters so if you feel you need to change, then I would say go for it. Best of luck to you. <3
Report his a** to the state licensing board. That is completely inappropriate. He should not be working as a therapist if he is behaving like that. He needs help.
