It's a very sad song Brian....I'm sorry you feel you have to give up on love. Some do though, and are happy to find a life alone with friends for company. Relationships take a lot of work anyway pal....even if the two of you are good...there are always some outside influence pushing and pulling....money issues, family issues, etc. So there are no fairytail endings of happily ever after....it's not all it's cracked up to be sometimes. I'd be content being on my own if I was not in a relationship now. I wouldn't bother looking again...

Faux that’s so true. Friendships can go deeper than relationships and can be more fulfilling and less traumatic.

I agree. I am probably much older than Brian, and have learned it is much better to be alone, than to be with the wrong person. It is completely possible to be happy and single! Embrace your freedom, and see what good things come from it!!!!

It's so nice to see you back! At any rate I have no sound now, but I do seem to remember that song. There are several kinds of love including self love, family/friends love ( which sounds like you have) love of animals/nature, and romantic love. Sending good vibes your way, and may you get to spend more time in nature. I saw a special on PBS about Karen Carpenter. Sounds like behind the talent and the songs - there was a dark side which led to anorexia or bullimia which eventually led to her death. So sad at such a young age. At any rate- welcome back again my friend.
