Hey! I just read your post and I want to say you are not alone! My son is actually experiencing what your going thru and he’s 16 years old, and as a mother seeing him suffer kills me inside. The way you feel is what he tells me how he feels and at times he doesn’t know how to express what he is feeling. What help have you been receiving?

Afraid of everything
You didn’t reply but started a new post. Just giving you a heads up.
Yes I just realized that lol thanks! I think I did know...
Ok. Lol I didn’t know if you knew or not. I am sorry to hear about your son. Does he have autism?
No he doesn’t. He just started with depression in januuary and was admitted in a mental hospital which they say it was anxiety...but he says things that are weird and that really doesn’t make kinda sense. It worries me...
Have you brought your concerns to his doctor?
Yes..we have another appointment this week. It’s confusing, not sure if it’s psychosis or anxiety? Or is it the same?
Anxiety is a symptom that can accompany psychosis. Mental illness usually presents itself in the late teenage years. So don’t get to worried. Your son will be ok once he is properly diagnosed and treated. You are doing the right thing to get him help now. The earlier the better chance he has to live a full and productive life.
Thank you, I hope this is just a phase..hope it really goes away for him and everyone who suffers from any disorder.
It is hard to tell with teenagers lol. I have a sixteen year old niece. I am not to old but I think teens today have a lot more stress than I had. I wasn’t popular in school, but when I went home I didn’t have to deal with it. Now with social media it follows kids home. They can’t catch a break.
That is so true, social media bullying plays a huge role on depression in teens. Thank you!
I’m new to this. I was searching information on anxiety cause I think my son is suffering from it.
