Get colouring then, don't let the anxiety get the better of you. Stick some music on too and let it fill your mind.
Have you tried breathing exercises? Or meditation? In my first therapy session my psychiatrist really encouraged me to learn some breathing exercises. These help center me when I feel the wave of feeling anxious coming along or when I’m experiencing an attack. I know it sounds silly but breathing and meditating is a good way to help center you and “bring you back around” sometimes if that makes sense.
