Started on Celexa

So my dr has put me on celexa and I have been on Klonopin for almost 9 Years now.. it’s only been 4 days but my appetite is gone, dry mouth and absolutely no food sounds good and I can’t eat much at all.. anyone got any tips or aware if celexa can make you not hungry? They said 1-2 weeks to kick in but nothing else has changed and I just have no appetite

Must be frightening for you, been down that road - in the end of a long depression myself now. I wonder why your Dr. changed your med's. Sorry about the affect it is having on you. I am going thru a change myself, it is awful, now we are trying other med's. Ask the pharmacist about the med's, they know a lot about the drug. Ask for a printout. Also go on line about every drug is listed there, it is a wealth of information, your Dr. should have told you about the common ones. Push him/her nicely they should know as they are handling the prescription, Perhaps someone in our group can tell you.

Thank you for the kind words. I still have the klonopin but he started me on celexa also. I know it has to get in the body before much change will happen for the good but I’ve been having more attacks lately and not sure what is bringing them on, then the obsessive thoughts get worse. So sorry to hear that your suffering from depression.. hopefully your dr can help get you back on your feet and able to enjoy life!
