Just switched from Celexa to Lexapro. Would love to hear positive reviews of Lexapro.

My psychiatrist seems to think that Lexapro may have fewer side effects and is better for GAD. Any feedback on this? Also, still struggling to have several good days in a row, sleep is better but not amazing and still have very little appetite. So frustrating but trying to embrace any bit of progress. Ugh!!!! Want to feel like myself again. We must be the most patient people on earth to put up with this bs😀😀

Although I’ve never been on Celexa I have been on 10mg Lexapro for about 6 weeks now & starting to feel a bit of relief from anxiety. I have .5 Ativan to take for an emergency but try not to unless it’s really bad. I agree , it takes a lot of patience to put up with this anxiety & stress. I wish you the best ❤️

I’ve been on 20mg lexapro for years and have few side effects. It’s been very effective for anxiety for me.

Thanks for responding. I’m still at 10 mgs. Feel a little traumatized from trying zoloft and celexa and the insomnia and anxiety when starting them. My doctor wants me to go to. 20 just don’t have the courage to bite the bullet.

I just got moved from 5mg of lexapro to 10mg. However I have only been taking half for the first week just to get used to the higher dosage as recommended by my doctor. Today is my third day taking it and I feel relief almost immediately. It’s a good medicine!

I’ve been on Lexapro for over 10 years no side effects except loss of appetite in the beginning. I’m on 20mg a day.

I’ve been on 10mg of Lexapro for almost 4 years. Did not suffer from any side effects except some weight gain, but it’s due to the fact that it improved my appetite, haha (I’d lost a lot of weight during my worst periods as I wasn’t eating).

I think all of us have trouble stringing our good days together..don’t be too disheartened by a “bad day”. Try to take them in your stride, ride them out, and just appreciate the good ones when they come back around.

All the best to you, take care!
