I’m really conflicted about my upcoming GED class that starts on Monday afternoon.
I’ve really been looking forward to start the class and taking on the challenge of getting my GED, but right now I’m so depressed I don’t know if I’m mentally in a good enough place to be in school. In fact I’m probably not.
At the same time maybe just maybe getting busy with school work would help keep my mind off things and also being around people could be beneficial to me.
What do you guys think?

Oh I guess you are in the USA which is why I have never heard of it. I am in the UK. What's HS too please? Oh is that High School? Not even sure what high school is but I know it's not a British term.
Wow sorry. I didn't know you could go to high school that late. Well done to you for going back to education.
I left school at 15 (many years ago) and it took me until I was 23 to go back into a classroom. I did 3 courses at evening school and passed. I then went to Uni as a mature student when I was 27 and did the social sciences. It's never too late to get yourself an education so good on you. x
Thanks. I think I’m gonna go ahead and go to the class and just see how it goes.
Maybe just maybe it’ll make me feel better. Maybe getting to work and doing something good for myself or at least trying to do so will make me feel better.
If I can’t handle it I can’t handle it right now, but I won’t know until I try. Key word try. Gonna try my best and just see what happens.
I found it very different and much easier learning at school after having been away from it for a few years and I was totally surprised by this and very pleased. I know in your country it's hard to get a decent job without at least a high school education so good on you.
Try and approach it with an open mind and I think you will be fine. x
