Anyone with experience with Effexor XR?

Does anyone have any experience with taking Effexor XR/Venlafaxine and its affects on your blood pressure?

Since I begun taking it several months ago its drastically helped my Depression but my blood pressure has gone from 120/80 (normal) to 140/90 range (worrying). Has this happened to anyone else? If so, did you continue the medication despite the high blood pressure or did you switch meds? Did anyone who continued find a way to reduce their blood pressure?

Has your doctor spoken with you about your change in blood pressure? That is not extremely high change. Not a doctor, but think checking with your's would ease your mind.
