how does one handle someone who is controlling and must run everything ?

That's a tough one kw41716 because respect must come in somewhere (at least for me) I will say that I lived my life with a mother who was the Matriarch of the family and felt that title allowed her to take control of her children's lives. The difference was it didn't affect my sister but it did me. It came out as anxiety. Therapy can help in knowing how to deal with a family situation. Now that my mother is gone, I do realize she thought she was doing her best, that is all she knew. What I got out of it besides anxiety was promising myself I would never do that to my children. x

understanding a mother is difficult , especially one who will text you every 10 minutes to know where you are and what you are doing and when you don’t answer you in deep crap . it’s alway the mother’s way or no way really
