feeling very emotional today. i dont know whats wrong with me. all i want to do is cry and im holding it because i really dont want to have breakdown at work. im listening to music keeping busy but i feel a major tightness in my chest from holding my tears in.

Focus on your breathing! Take deep breaths in through your nose and slowly release out your mouth. Do this as many times as it takes. It will help to settle you down. If you have a lunch break maybe go for a walk if you can. We all have days like this but it will pass.
I feel exactly the same way. There are no insurmountable problems, I just want to sob.
unfortunately this is true but we can all overcome this. just wont be easy i just might break soon and have no explanation why

Maybe you could try to go and take a few bathroom "breaks" throughout your day. splash some cold water on and do breaking exercises like GentleGiant mentioned. I do that when I get "jammed" up and need a minute or two... or five to breathe. The day will be done. Hang in there.
It seems we are having the same kind of day. I've been a crying mess all day. Took a walk but that didn't help. Sorry you are feeling this way.

from experience a good cry is helpful and releases endorphines, i find that sitting in my car i can let it out freely and most of the time i dont exactly know why i am crying. Let it out, thats why you have the burning feeling in your chest
