I have thoughts like these all the time. I came from an emotionally neglect family which left me feeling very unwanted. My therapist and I are working to challenge these thoughts, they are not true, just something that comes from your anxiety and depression. You are wanted and you will find your place in the world. <3

They are not true x it's just easier to believe something bad about ourselves sometimes . Wishing you peace from bad thoughts x

I totally agree with this, I've been working on being more mindful and I've been making progress in the last couple of weeks! I wish you the same :)

I have negative thoughts too. And it's hard to push them away. Maybe explore the specifics with a therapist. Short term though try and write a list and for every negative write a positive just to keep your thoughts balanced x

Hi!At times voicing out the negative thoughts to self (self-talk) and to others helps a lot.

Listening to oneself express the thoughts with one's own voice has a different effect than just listening to them inside of the mind.

Voicing them out has a different effect, a physical effect on the vocal cords, etc., and of course, this creates an actual sound which is captured by the ear.

Physical activity also helps. Keeping the mind occupied with physical activity could alleviate stress too. Examples: long walk, jog, gardening, or any exercise. Physical activity is good for the heart too.

Your post got me to ponder about these negative thoughts we get as human beings. I hope it doesn't cause a negative effect...

Could a thought alone be both positive and negative at the same time? Or is it always one or the other? Could a thought be neutral, neither negative nor positive?

Could a negative thought be of any use to us? Could a negative thought be used to one's advantage?

Could one write a story of every negative thought and its origin?

I hope your able to sort and cope with the negative thoughts. They tend to come and go. It's good to have a game plan ready for when they come around.

Take care.

Nobody is perfect, including parents. I'm sure they love you but they might not know what to say or do to help you. You are alive and are doing the best you can. Two things to celebrate! Hang in there and don't give up! The only way you'd let anybody down is if you just stopped trying. You are doing fine, darling! :)
