So just recently I told my doctor I could not sleep And that I was🐜 Because if it , what she suggested was not really what I wanted. She prescribed me lexspro 🤕😒so has anyone taken this drug. I was for it at first then I started to read the side affects , which is the main reason i don't take meds one side effect in particular was the meds may cause seizures and that's a door I don't want to open being that I may not be able to close it. Any thoughts 💭

Once you start having seizures they just don't stop and go away

I also experienced that until these days. Sometimes i dont get any sleep the whole night. Thats really hard/ My doctor gave me Mirtazapine and Quetiapine and it helped with my sleep somehow. Ask your doctor to give you meds that he thinks will help you with your sleep problem. These meds combination I am on do wonders in me.

When you feel you cant sleep...then simply tell to yourself that its fine.....and its not a big deal...."if I cant sleep then be it..... say,,,,Then I will sleep tomorrow.

believe me I also suffer from Insomnia but i dont take it as a big deal now. The more you think you wont sleep the more the chance that you wont really fall asleep.

I have taken lexapro but it doesn't help with sleep unless sleep was caused by underlying depression. I have chronic insomnia so have taken a lot of different things for sleep. I currently use remeron, which is wonderful for sleep and also helps with anxiety/depression (but is known to cause weight gain for many) Ambien might be another option although some have trouble discontinuing it. Trazodone, which didn't work for me, does work for some. I would suggest staying away from the "benzo" class of medicine that is frequently prescribed for insomnia. Those drugs will work to help with sleep but can also have a terrible discontinuation syndrome and tolerance usually forms so you may need greater dosages as time goes on. But if you were only taking once in a while when desperate, then probably ok. Good luck. Insomnia is tough to deal with.

I agree with you. I still have a some pills of clonazepam but i no longer take them on a regular basis because its really addictive and yes its true that benzo can really give horrible withdrawal and currently im dealing with it. but am ok. I can manage the withdrawal.

I got suicidal on it. But I was that small percentage.

Thanks guys I appear you comments , and I decided I'm not taking it
