I have been taking Bupropion for about a year. When I first started taking it, things were so much better. Within the past two months, it hasn't been working and I find myself going up to extreme anxiety and then hitting some if the lowest depression I've had in nearly a year. I also have a prescription for Citalopram that I kept filling but never tool.
Has anyone made a change from one to the other? Does it seem to help? I don't have a psychiatrist but had previously seem a neurologist for an auto accident where I shortly after had these prescribed.
I saw several medical articles stating that you could actually combine these to some degree and that it was actually more beneficial than mono therapy.
I am grateful for any help.

Thank you for responding. I was just in the U.K. visiting a couple of weeks ago, but am in the United States. I am taking 150 mg of Bupropion and have considered taking something else, I'm addition to, or more of the same to get this depression and anxiety under control.
I want to see someone about this but where I live, therapists are in very short supply and doctors you can trust even more so.
It's agonizing and although I have dealt with this most of my life it seems to get worse the older I get. There are so many things I can't control that keep me trapped, so I have to just deal with it and try not to lose my mind.
Thank you for responding. I thoroughly enjoyed London and Chertsey as well as Windsor. I almost didn't come back home
I have seen someone on this forum say that bupropion can be quite stimulating as an antidepressant, and may not be the best choice for anxiety.
There are lots of different antidepressants used for anxiety. I am sure you will find one that helps.
The SNRIs are used frequently also SSRIs.
I take an older antidepressant called Amitriptyline. That is a tricyclic antidepressant. It has sedating properties; that sounds awful but it really helps me especially withbsleep and my anxiety.
Hi All, I wanted to add some insight into an option for anyone struggling with medication resistant depression. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation aka TMS Depression Therapy works be sending magnetic pulses to the area where the depression is occurring. The pulses providing stimulation and then activate the chemicals that are sluggish to waken up and start to deliver more chemicals, which helps alleviate the depression symptoms. TMS is definitely a great option for anyone who have experienced too many side effects from meds or didnt find relief from them either. Source: aneweratms.com/tms-reviews/...
