Instrusivr memory

Is there a way to kill an intrusive memory i have this childhood memory a useless one cant seem to shake off from my head and it is making me anxious or destressing .. anyone have this kinda stuff ? will it go away . its not painfull of anything but it is making me depressing . any tips would help

They say to just let it be and anxiety will go down eventually. I have intrusive thoughts a lot and I also find them depressing and disturbing. I have OCD, do you?

Remember it is only a thought.

I do have ocd not that much tho .. yes whenever i am busy the thot goes away

Yes I do have intrusive memories but most of them, no all of them, are painful or embarrassing or just regrets. I try to shake them off or forget them and I suspect that's what is nagging me when I have a vague awful feeling in the back of my mind and I can't quite name it. I would assume talking about with someone you trust would help. Mine are so plentiful I just don't know where to start and I don't like to bring them up. This may not have anything to do with what you're dealing with but I think it's a large part of my problems. I still suggest talking about it with someone you can feel comfortable with to try and eradicate it, if that's us, we're here.
