Thought to give an update, but I have not been that active anymore. First it was the heat, then it was my neck which gave me a serious headache with nausea, then no time, then again the neck, etc, etc. There was always something. My neck is a bit better now, but I have made an appointment with an osteopath to try and see what she can do. Because I always have this knot in my neck and when it is worse (I really need some vacation), then I get heavy headaches. See what she can do, ask for tips what I can do and maybe make regular appointments for a neck / head massage...
In any case, I haven't been doing much. I am - weirdly enough - still on track for my Fellowship medal, but I will soon need to step it up a bit. But honestly speaking, part of me wants to extend the timeframe and give myself some rest. I will soon have 3 weeks of vacation and maybe I should forget the medals for those 3 weeks and just relax. Try to get my body in order, because I am perpetually tired. Was at the hospital yesterday for my 4-weekly IV and the nurse told me I looked tired.
I did walk home from the hospital yesterday, which is another 3 to 4 km in the pocket. And on Monday I did a short walk of 1,7 km during my 30 minutes lunch break. But I am currently NOT doing any cycling, belly practices or planking, just to avoid doing anything that might make my neck worse.
Anyhow so that is my update for the moment. I wish I had more action to tell about, but well, that's life for ya!
Could the neck strain have something to do with planking? When I do planks (in yoga, but I do try to avoid them ) , I can feel the tension in my whole back including neck.
Take care!
And weβll done for keeping on track! Those walks to and from hospital also count!
I did 30 days planking without issues. It is only when I added abs exercises that I got the neck issues. And maybe the cycling while watching a movie is not too good either.
In 2 hours I have a relaxing shoulder / neck massage and next Tuesday I have an appointment with an osteopath. Hopefully they can help also in saying how to avoid or solve neck issues.
By the way, grabbed my under desk elliptical bike yesterday and going to try to use that regularly. It does not give much distance for the amount of time you spend on it, but it is movement too!
My legs are getting tired from my under-desk elliptical! Today I am working from home and I have already racked up 3 hours while working!! That is something of 6000 rotations, but don't get too excited. That means only 1,9 km π

Decided to call it done after those 3 hours and keeping my feet and legs rested for today. Going to some festivities in the town after work and need to walk there and back and stand still a long time probably. Going to try watching a cycling derby with the female elite of cycling. So I think my leggies will be tired!
