How are we all coping with the changeable weather

Here I am sat with a cuppa, waiting for the rain to stop. I have the heating on again and it looks horrible out there.

As soon as it stops I am out for a little walk.

How are you all doing with the weather in your area

Hi I've just come back from walking my dog It's cold and windy but between showers so I didn't get soaked like I did yesterday Now for mug strong black coffee but minus my morning chic biscuit! Its my 2nd day so I'm not struggling yet I'm looking forward to my main meal of roast lamb and loads of veg Another walk later as the dog is pleased I'm more active rather than sitting reading! Best wishes

Your meal sounds lovely, just th ticket for a cold day. Glad the dog is enjoying the walks. Rfc x

Hi Rfc! I'm still struggling with really painful joints - to the extent that I'm not picking up my feet properly. My new (ish) carpets have been christened with tea - grrr! So it's still the exercise bike for me just now. It's a bit depressing and I must be honest - it's getting me down. But I live in hope - maybe next week will be better!

I am so sorry you are still struggling Kay, I am not surprised it is getting you down, do you think the colder weather has kicked it off and hopefully as the warmer weather comes your way it will feel better. I hope you find a resolution soon I know how you love your walks for a posh coffee. Take very good care of yourself. Rfc xxx

Thanks Rfc - I do think that I'll get sorted when the weather warms up. You take care too! x

Oh Kay. That's a bummer. Keep at that bike, get the endorphins going and I hope your joints smarten up soon. And once it warms up where you are, kick up your feet and just enjoy a seat in the sun. Thinking of you Kay.

Thanks for the good wishes, runswithdogs! I'm really praying that this is just a blip caused by the winter weather and not a permanent deteriation - I'm pretty low just now. But hey, I'm doing what I can - even 1000 steps is better than no steps and that's about all I can manage just now. But hey ho next week might be better! Look after yourself, runswithdogs x

I am on my day off but I got soaked on the way to and from work. I hope the rain goes by morning as I need to fit in my run before work. If not I have to wait till hubby gets home.

We got caught in hail stones on the way back from our walk, they were a bit hard 😀., let’s hope the weather is better for everyone tomorrow. Rfc x

Oh rfc, I can’t tell you how hot it is across India. It’s from 34-42 degrees Celsius in various states. This apart our general elections for a new Prime Minister and government are starting in phases later this week, so the political climate is even hotter!

We could do with a little rain and some cool winds.

Wow that is hot 🌞, i can imagine that will hinder walks for fun, stay safe in that heat, I think across the globe we need to distract ourselves from politics occasionally for our mental health, exercise is good for working out frustrations 😀.

Oh suryakaizen, what I'd give just for one day of temperatures up in the 30s!?! I haven't felt the sun on my back for what seems like an eternity! Hope you're well - look after yourself suryakaizen x

Oh yes kay50 thank you. I know how it must be not to have felt the blessed heat of the sun on you for a while. But at our stage in life extremes of both are difficult to bear. The 30s are still okay. I stay indoors, walk around the house, and wait for the cool evening air to blow in.

Hot days and cool evening breezes - paradise! :)

Well it's been opposite here nice and sunny but a bit of a breeze but went out in just leggings and t shirt at lunch time and more importantly got my sheets hung out to dry. Hope you got your walk

I love it when you can get the sheets dried in a day outside, there is just such a sense of accomplishment with that. Hehe small things make me happy 😀.

I've always said one of lives little free luxuries is climbing into bed with fresh clean sheets on been dried outside

It is rare you are warmer than us this time of year, we have just had a cold spell but they are hoping it is gone by the end of the week. I have no idea what to wear when I go out. I always make sure I can tie stuff round my middle 😀.

Ok... for some reason this forum hasn’t been updating for me?!

I’m finding the changing back in forth of the weather is pretty good, I just open the door and then grab a coat or not, when I’m walking. When I go running it seems to start cold and then gets too warm, the joys of living in a valley, I’d prefer it the other way round of course.
