Are we all still walking?

I know the app has been a bit glitch recently but I really hope it hasn’t put anyone off their walks.

We have had a lot to cope with with tech and blistering sun but we are still out there and keeping up with our walks aren’t we!

The weather is a little cooler here and it is a hike day for me today, really looking forward to it. Hoping to get around 12-14km in.

Happy walking everyone

Rfc x

I've been doing pretty well but definitely sticking mainly to evenings.

I can understand and that, it really does feel nicer out there in London today, I hope you are getting a little respite too.

Been walking 3x Active 10's per day for eight days now. Yes, the app does seem glitchy. Hasn't awarded me a "Walking Warrior Bronze (for one week) yet! Shame!

I’m sorry about the app. Well done for keeping going. I can give you a virtual Walking warrior great badge next to your name on here if that helps 😀 🥇.

No worries! I'm not so bothered. But I do think "rewards" like these can be important motivators, so for the (hopefully) widespread success of this project, it would be good if the techies could resolve the glitches in the app. Thanks for the quick reply, and good luck!

I agree, we do not have a direct line to the app people, we are here to support and motivate in the flesh so to speak but through channels I have heard they are working on it.

Hope so! When I have completed a month, if they are still "depriving" me of my rewards, I will come back and have a little "grumble" again! Thanks!

Still walking RFC, though things have been busy so not as much as I would like. We're heading out of town today, and I'm looking forward to some very short and slow plods with my arthritic dog.

Hope you have had a good walk. I remember slow plods with our old golden retriever. Fun days. Xxx

Hi runswithdogs - hope you enjoy getting out into the countryside! I'm very excited about moving home because I'm allowed to have a little dog in the new place! I've just got to choose one that doesn't need too much walking!?!

Thanks Kay. It was a great day but I tweaked my back at dinner time so we didn't spend the night. Our pup liked the walks okay, but I think she was sore just sitting by the campfire. A little dog would be fantastic, they are such great company. I'm partial to the senior dogs myself, they like their walks short and sweet.

Absolutely - once I've settled in I'll go down to the local animal rescue centre and see what's available for adoption! x

Oh no! Tweaked backs are no joke. Let's hope it heals itself really quickly. x

Oh gosh, Rfc - I've only managed one walk in a week! My life is revolving around my house move on the 20th of this month. And I'm really feeling my age! Packing is taking me so looong!?! Sick of wearing a back support in this hot weather too - but I'm really glad I am, as when I tripped and fell down 7 stairs the day before yesterday it saved me from doing too much damage! AND, climbing "that hill" was so worthwhile because the place I'm moving to hasn't a single level road - just one hill after another! Before "the hill" I wouldn't have dreamt of moving to such a place! I'm going to be a specialist hill walker by Christmas!?! Starting on the 23rd!

Ouch Kay - hope you are feeling okay after the fall. That is not a small distance.

Specialist hill walker indeed. Sounds like it'll be an exciting new place to explore. I can't wait to hear about it Kay.

You'll be tired of hearing about it, I'm so happy to be going there! Until I went to view the bungalow I'd never been to that side of town. But the neighbour tells me that there are some lovely walks around the village. There's a large wooded area, a riverside path and open countryside too - what a win!

So glad your ok Kay. Must of been a shock to take a tumble. Your our star hiller on here😀. So exciting a move and maybe a Little walking companion, can he/she be our forum mascot and we then can all share the walks. 😀.

in reply to Realfoodieclub

What do you mean, mascot - boy or girl I'm calling it Active 10!?! Lol:)
