Here we are again, another weekend, I went for a little stroll with MrRfc last weekend and we went wandering on the Grand Union Canal, it took us 1/2 hour to realise we had started in the wrong direction 😂😂😂, so what was a gentle 5km walk turned into a 10km Walk.
What are you all up to this weekend?, The weather in London is morespring like which is nicer for walks.

I think it will be gentle stuff for me this weekend, my thyroid meds went too far the other way and my energy has been a bit down but we are going to try something different with the dosage so that might help. I have a 2.5km swim next Saturday so I need to be ready for that but I am still doing move everyday. So little walks this week I think.
Eek... yes... we did what we thought was a manageable walk which turned out to make both of us ill (much more up and downhill than anticipated) It's been a while since I've got into a completely immobile, can't communicate state, forgotten how vile it is. And it messed with my husband's heart. So no being gungo-ho!
I know “that” place, before I sorted out my thyroid issues that was where I spent seven years of my life. Up and downs can really put stresses on a walk. Look after yourself. Rfc x
I went for a short run/ walk this morning, about 5K, more brisk walking than running. This walk means passing my local leisure centre, it was jam packed with people there this morning when I passed.
I could see a class doing aerobatics, the gym would be buzzing with people doing all sorts of things, outside there were about 10 people doing burpees, jumping up and down, push ups etc, a real hive of activity.
It's very nice to know that many people are getting active and staying healthy as well. 😊
I did a family 2.4 mile run the other week, so many little tots with Mum and Dad Running, it really did warm my heart. Well done for getting out there. Rfc x
Lovely 3k jog this morning with doggie then a short stroll this afternoon (not brisk enough to count as an Active 10! 😉). Hoping to do a longer forest walk tomorrow with hubby, which probably won't be brisk but will involve hills!
Hope everyone enjoys an active weekend (at whatever pace/ distance that suits you) 😊
Hi skysue16 - I'm struggling to get up to a brisk pace too just at the moment. But as long as we're getting out there and moving, we're winning! Enjoy your forest walk!
Well, as if all my joints playing up wasn't enough I still haven't got my breathing under control - so frustrating! But, I did do a meandering 4000 steps yesterday. It's been ages since I did any brisk walking - maybe this coming week will be better, I live in hope!
Kay, well done on your 4,000 steps, I know it wasent that long ago you wouldn’t of even dreamt of that let alone thought about your pace. It sounds like eveything is being a bit tough right now, I hope it picks up for you soon. Take care. Rfc x
Was outside loads yesterday as I was parkrun director, but my walking was back and forth unloading the car, checking in on the volunteers etc. Weather is nice enough here that we got lots of walkers for parkrun which made me super happy. Hoping to get out today for a more 'me' walk or run.
