Don't trust the weather app!!! πŸ’¦πŸŒ©οΈβš‘πŸ˜

Today was another 45 minute walk along the same route as I took on Sunday. It's a nice walk along mostly single track roads which are nice and quiet.

My intention is to get my walking up to a consistent 45 minutes at a reasonable intensity before re starting C25K.

This would have happened sooner of course had I not been hit with Plantar Fasciitis and then hurting my back!

My back is now almost back to how it was, it's been weak for a few years so it's never going to be 100% and the PF is certainly improving.

I have what should be my last appointment with my sports physio this evening, then an appointment on the 16th with the cardiac rehab physiotherapist at Wolverhampton new cross hospital where I was treated following my heart attack.

The walk today was quite nice , infact reasonably warm with the sun untill I was 5 or 6 minutes from home as can be seen in the pictures.

The heavens then opened and I was caught in the most intense thunderstorm I have seen for some time!

All I could do was carry on home and get soaked .

I arrived home 5 minutes later like a drowned rat 🀣

Typically it is now dry and sunny again !

Ahh well 😁

That was a very good 45 minutes walk you had today Ian, lovely photos, pity about the thunderstorm near the end of walk, no thunderstorm where I live but I was "caught" in a light shower at 1.50 pm while walking my neighbours dog Holly.

I have a excellent app, it's called "weather&radar" the best part is that it has a weather forecast and radar map for the next 90 minutes, so if its raining I can see how long it will be before the rain goes off, yesterday at 1pm the radar rain showed that the rain would go off at 2.30pm, sure enough the rain did go off at 2.30pm, that 90 minutes forecast is usually 100% accurate, give it a try.

Our weather is similar, sun over the sea and black clouds over the hills but no real thunder, you are doing great

Wow blue skies on your photos and then bam! Storms drenching you right through - I bet you still enjoyed it though.

I went for a walk yesterday (in drizzle) and decided to do a different route to the main roads (I got so lost -not far from home but no idea where I was) πŸ™ˆ then the rain became so heavy and I was still quite a way from home but I still enjoyed feeling alive and being outdoors ☺️

Haha, yes I remember getting lost when I first did C25k 🀣The rain became torrential but nothing to do but just laugh and carry on πŸ˜…

The weather at the moment is so unpredictable! I was out earlier and totally caught out by the heat. Should have gone for shorts and a short sleeved t shirt. I was absolutely begging for rain at the end!

Apart from the thunderstorm, sounds like a lovely walk for you and the pictures are great. Finishing up with the physio and rehab people must feel like a bit of a milestone coming up? You’ve done so well to be back to where you are in a short space of time.

You must have the same weather app as me, Ian, it makes it up as it goes along 🀣. Regardless, well done on your walk even though you got wet! I think I just heard some thunder, so maybe it’s heading my way now - I shall stay inside.

Great walk and glad your back and feet are getting better. I got soaked as well yesterday morning, had a shower went for a walk then got soaked with rain, typical not my usual coat and hat.

Wow! Wolverhampton! Do I remember wrongly that you live in the Stockport area, so I wondered cause Wolverhampton is quite a distance. But I might not remember that right.

So great to read about your progress, despite the rain!

Your on the right track !

I'm originally from Stockport but living in Oswestry Shropshire.

So it's around 1 hour 5 minutes drive !

Though when the ambulance took me they did it in just over 40 minutes πŸ˜‚
