Ectopic with mirena

Has anyone else had a positive pregnancy test with the mirena coil. A couple of years ago the day after Xmas I had severe cramping and stomach pains, more at night time. Obviously having the coil I didn't even think of pregnancy so I ignored the pains. Two more days later I can only describe the pain as contractions. I tried to rule everything out so did a pregnancy test not thinking anything of it. It came up positive straight away. Ended out having to have key hole surgery to remove a six week feotus from my fallopian tube, also having to have the tube removed. If I had left the pain any longer my fallopian tube could have burst resulting in internal bleeding. Has anyone else experienced this. I always thought the coil was 100 percent effective.
