Faint blood when wiping

Hi, I was hoping I may be able to get some advice!

I have recently been having issues with bloating, stomach pains, fatigue and when going to the toilet for a wee, sometimes noticing small amounts of very faint, but old looking blood (due to colour) when wiping .

I have been on the mini pill for 8 years, and haven’t had periods for more or less the same amount of time, so I’ve never had issues with bleeding.

I have recently had my brand of mini pill changed, but don’t believe this is the cause, maybe coincidence, but I could be wrong ?

I’m a little concerned due to the faint blood and this being something I’ve never experienced before. It highly unlikely that I’m pregnant, or have an STD (I haven’t changed sexual partners since my last negative test)

Has anyone had any experience in this ? Or can provide any ideas as to what the issue could be ?

I’m hoping it’s nothing but would still appreciate advice just incase.

it could definitely be linked to you changing your pill as when I was on the implant I had all the symptoms you are describing. I would have a brown discharge 99% of the time but never a real period. Still worth going to the drs to put your mind at ease and rule out anything serious though. Good luck xx

no problem! Hormones and contraceptives can cause all sorts of symptoms as you’ll be aware! I’m sure it’ll be nothing serious but always best to put your mind at ease xx

Hi, the bleeding certainly could be a change in the mini pill. I used to get break through bleeding on the mini pill. With the symptoms of the bloating and fatigue, I would definitely get a check up with your doctor, they will probably do some blood tests.
