I’ve have migraines for many years. Not many, hospitalised for 2 they were so bad but really not many.
Sumatriptan prescribed and advice to only take if I’m certain it’s a headache.
I also get vertigo- prochlorperazine prescribed.
To cut a long story short.
In September I had an extended vertigo attack on holiday. I put it down to long driving time on country roads. It took weeks to resolve. Took the meds for a few days and stopped to try and manage.
It came back every few days until 31-12 when GP sent me to A&E for assessment. Given exercises told not to take drugs and referred to ENT.
Nothing wrong with my ears, consultant referred me to vestibular migraine testing. It’s this Friday.
I am so anxious.
Vertigo for 5-10 days at a time, sometimes mild but which can be set off by just looking up suddenly.
Neck pain and a constant sharp scalp ache on the back/top of my head.
Does this sound like migraines to any of you?
I’ve always been told to only take my Sumatriptan when I know it’s a migraine and I have the hideous full on throbbing headache but this is new.
Any thoughts?
