Hope you are all safe and well with the snow storms and freezing conditions we have all had to endure. If you have managed to do any form of exercise then well done 👏. Remember that mental exercises are just as important as any physical activities. So if it’s wet and wild outside try a crossword!
My Stats for last week using the active 10 app are: 827 minutes walked of which 494 were brisk. I am trying to improve my numbers on last year, so far I think I am doing so! Even Pea 🐶 has picked up the pace ☺️. I am away in the sun next week but hope to do some walking at least.
I am looking forward to hearing about all your achievements.
This is an all inclusive club, to cover all activity and all abilities and the aim is for each of us to highlight our preferred activities to give us all new ideas for exercise.
Please see healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... for previous ideas.
The idea is for you to post your exercise achievements from last week and your proposed goals for this coming week. This will not be a competition, but declared plans are easier to stick to and encouragement and support from fellow members are good motivators.
By setting ourselves short, mid range and possibly long term goals we achieve a little at a time and with the forum family encouraging us each step along the way we may surprise ourselves by what we achieve. Any and all exercise counts, from housework to marathon running, armchair exercises to wheelchair basketball. Your only limitation will be your imagination.
We love to see photos, so please post as many as you wish of when you're out and about, in the gym, at your fitness class, or boogying down in front of your TV.
Please take some time to encourage your fellow FiF'ers, as this is all about giving each other support and inspiration.
Looking forward to reading all about your achievements.

Sorry for late reply! Only just got the wifi sorted in hotel. Weather here a very pleasant 22 🌴☺️.
Your numbers are great, 76,000 steps and 31 miles is brilliant, well done. 126 flights of stairs is incredible, especially after only two days. Love the photos, you’re very lucky to live in such a picturesque place.
Thank you for hosting this week and hope you enjoy your holiday and that you see that elusive object called a sun
I had a good week last week- forgot I had 2 days Alfie sitting at the weekend and he is still with me until Wednesday, though didn't do any Couch to Fitness exercise. My goal was 5 days of 10,000 steps and maybe 1 exercise session. Didn't do the exercise session but managed 6 days of 10,000 steps of which 3 of them were over 15,000 steps I walked 98992 steps (70.6km) and 409 mins of brisk walking.
This week I am currently just working 1 shift though will try and fit in another one. and I have Alfie for 3 days so I plan to achieve 6 days of 10,000 steps of which 4 days of 15,000 steps, and 1 session of Couch to Fitness pre-natal programme.
Brilliant fantastic superb fabulous splendiferous week... Love reading your stats 🥳🥳🥳🥳👏👏🎉🎉🎉🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️Have a gorgeous week... Love you have Alfie too
Wow fantastic stats RG07. Over 79km 😳. Alfie must be loving his days with you. Missed the exercise session but added an extra day of steps, well done. Good luck with your planned week.
Hi Pollyw and what a glorious week you have had... 🥳🥳👏🎉🎉👏🥳🥳👏Love it...
I did steps and went outside brisk once with the phone so 26mins on the clock.. Katching
Still doing the yoga with Adrienne challenge for January... Enjoying it
Conqueror keeping up so far so happy with that hoping to increase steps when I stop doing my WW coach zoom bingo.. I am trying to see how every coach delivers on zoom.. When I start something like this I have to finish it.. Actually I am enjoying it
I did do a bit of zumba so that's ticked off my list.. Can't do it at the time as I have dinner then so will find on you tube instead
Love reading about all your adventures Wine. You certainly put the effort in for sure. Think what I love the most is the variety, thats were I am sadly lacking 😩.
I am now over the 10% way through my Conquerer Lands End to John O’Groats challenge. I was trying to save £1 was every mile walked but I had to borrow it back to pay for my hubbies birthday trip.
Brilliant going well done 👏👏👏👏👏👏I love your idea of setting aside money for every mile or every 10... I will need to reset as its km... Just remembered I have a km converter saved on my phone.... Lovely smashing... Fantastic post
Typical , it’s the weekend & I have got nasty earache in both ears. I am pretty deaf in my left ear ( apart from tinnitus) which is the most painful. I really don’t feel like going for the walk I had planned . The pharmacist said that it is pretty inflamed & scaly ( I have dermatitis in my ears) & if it doesn’t clear up soon I will need to go to the GP for antibiotics.
Fingers crossed the spray from the pharmacy does the trick.
Oh noooo that doesn’t sound good at all. Really hope you get sorted. Don't think about anything but feeling better. Hope it all clears up without the need for medication or visit to GP! Relax and stay home.
I have tinnitus in my left ear! Cope most of the time but it be can be very annoying.
Hope you feel better soon and can enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Thank you . I tend to get hot & itchy ears which get inflamed quite often . I went to get some hydrocortisone cream as my GP previously suggested but the pharmacy assistant at the big supermarket said no as it as on my face & not licensed for that . I then made my hubby get it for me & they were suspicious but sold it . They wanted me to get a prescription & pay £9.65 rather than £3.50.
The local pharmacist was happy to sell it to me today ( probably much more expensive) 🤷♀️
Thank you , I know they were only doing their job but it’s almost impossible to get a GP appointment & I don’t like to waste a GP’s time with something I can treat myself with OTC treatments
