Hello everyone and welcome to the Fit is Fun Club!
Fit for Fun is an all inclusive club to cover all activity and all abilities and the aim is for each of us to highlight our preferred activities and give us all new ideas for exercise.
This thread will be open from Monday to Sunday and a new one posted each Monday.
The idea is for you to post your exercise achievements from last week and your proposed goals for this coming week. This will not be a competition but declared plans are easier to stuck to and encouragement and support from fellow members are good motivators.
If you are used to post photos please feel free to post as many as you wish. (You have to do a separate post, then copy ans paste the link to your reply here).
These last months have been really stressful for me as some members of my family caught the Coronavirus and we can’t do anything to really help them at all...
I didn’t do much for my weight loss.
This week I just went to run for 34 minutes and maybe I’ll go again today...
I’ll be happy to receive your messages. Have a great week everyone and stay safe and healthy!!🍀
The ability to reply to this post has been turned off.
I hope you enjoyed your run Madamederriere , sounds like great exersize.
I managed 4 home work outs (Chloe Ting videos) ranging from 20 to 45 minutes (including stretches). It's challenging to find time for longer ones but I'm trying. I also went for a long walk yesterday around a lake, plus weekday school walks (8,000 steps per weekday).
I over-indulged yesterday but my partner bought me a lovely yoga mat and resistance bands for my birthday so I'm hoping to use them. I thought that the bands were beyond me but he spent ages showing me how to use them and finding decent YouTube videos to follow so I'll give it a go. Let's see if I end up slapping or kicking myself in the face. 🤣
This week, the goal is 5 home workouts (Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun), using the bands for a 15 min video at least 3 times. I'd like to have a short go with the bands today too, I just don't do well for time on Mondays!
Hi, I run a little but my knees suffer afterwards so walking mainly, I walk an hour everyday with slow and brisk walking sections incorporated. Pilates a couple of days a week
hello Hidden hope your family recover from the virus and I am sure they know you are thinking about them even if you cant be there for them. Hopefully you managed to get out for that run- even though I am not keen on running at all Well my stats are back to normal now I am Alfie free but did manage to achieve my goals 6/7 days of walking more than 8000 steps and 3 lots of zumba- even managed to fit in some housework- not a word often used by me I managed 426mins of brisk exercise- walking, housework and Wii zumba- which is higher than my normal week (probably the housework ) and 83890 steps (57.62km)
So this week I will be aiming for 5/7 days of 10,000 steps- been recovering from nights which I finished today- never an active day But I will try and do 4 lots of zumba this week since only doing 2 shifts at work this week
Well done, RG07! You are always so active, it is quite motivating for me when I read what you've been doing all week! All the best for this weeks workout 🙂
Hello and thank you for hosting, Madameirir! And hello to everyone else!
I'm so sorry to hear about your family, Madameirir. I hope they are doing well considering. I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like for you, especially because there is nothing much you can do to help them. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Last week I did five days of a min of 10000 and on the best day even a whopping 20000 steps! Of these steps, I did three runs of week one of the C25k. I am doing each week for two weeks each instead of one to ease myself into it, as I know that if I rush it, I'll be more likely to pack it in prematurely. My fit band says I managed to walk a distance of 82km in total. I also did my back exercise three times.
This week I am planning three runs, walking and my back exercise at least three times, maybe even throw in a bit of stretching here and there.
