Hello everyone and welcome to the Fit is Fun Club!
Fit for Fun is an all inclusive club to cover all activity and all abilities and the aim is for each of us to highlight our preferred activities and give us all new ideas for exercise.
This thread will be open from Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th November.
The idea is for you to post your exercise achievements from last week and your proposed goals for this coming week. This will not be a competition but declared plans are easier to stuck to and encouragement and support from fellow members are good motivators.
Today we celebrated my daughter’s 8th birthday... and I didn’t do a lot of Sports. I just cycled everywhere. I’ll try to do better next week. I’ll have to weigh-in on Wednesday. 🤣🍰🙈
I’ll be happy to read all about your achievements and your goals for next week!
I wish you all a great week!!🍀😊

Good morning Hidden , I hope your daughter had a lovely birthday .
I haven’t done very much activity this week as my foot & leg is still a bit sore after misjudging the kerb last week & haven’t gone around my local nature reserve.
According to the Active 10 app I have briskly walked 121 minutes out of a total 198 minutes walked .
I have also completed 12 minutes on the cross trainer.
Hello and thank you for hosting this week's challenge I have had a mixed week- only managing 4 days of 10000+ steps but I did manage to do a Wii session yesterday after a 2 month break- 75mins! I blame the fact that yesterday when I had planned to go out for a walk I decided to focus on completing my application form for a new job which took longer than I thought because I kept remembering stuff I needed to put in. I have hopefully finished it but I've printed it off so today its checking it over before I send it in, then its waiting to see if I get short-listed or not. I haven't had an interview for about 10 yrs😟So I managed 76739 steps over the week so on average I did 10000+ steps each day Which is 47.9km so back to my normal levels now I am totally Alfie -less. I have managed 316mins of brisk exercise- 241 mins of brisk walking and 75,mins of Wii exercise focusing on upper body- though still rubbish at push ups!
So this week I am back on nights yet again so I will be aiming for 5 days of 10000+ steps and 3 days of Wii.
I hope you have a good day enjoying your daughter's birthday
thank you- though the exercise yesterday was mainly for upper body there seemed to be a lot of squats and lunges and I must admit my legs are complaining a bit today though did manage 15mins cardio!
Thank you- its a bit nerve wracking- though I was asked to apply by the head of the dept and she has asked me several times if I'd be interested so that's promising but I can't make the assumption its mine for the taking since i don't know who else is applying
( My daughter’s birthday went very well... only yesterday we learned that a poor child in her class got Covid, so I had to tell her teacher which kids were at the party... luckily nobody else was infected with Covid and they get tested everyday at school... and we celebrated partly outside in the woods, so...
Strange times where making a small birthday party for your child can have huge consequences...):((
You exercised very well. 6 miles is a lot! Well done!👍😊 Great motivation to go running or cycling before work!! I should do the same actually, I don’t have any excuses either...🤣🙈
Good morning Madameirir, i hope the party went well and was enjoyed by all. Well done on cycling everywhere.
My week wasnt the best but i still hit my steps target with a little bit to spare. Most of my exercise was dog walking and i didnt get any runs in for various reasons. I didnt get to the parkrun either as i was in a bit of a funk after sustaining a dog bite. It wasnt a bad one but the shock of it happening lingered. That was it exercise wise!!
My dialy steps ranged from 1,335 to 13,514 with a total for the week being 70,147. Daily average was 10,021.
I'm keeping my targets the same but i'm also learning to accept my limitations on busy days and chaotic days so that i dont get disappointed when i dont achieve what i set out to do. This in itself it a big step for me and i'd like to build on it. My targets are nice to achieve not set in stone to be berated over when i dont get there ❤️
Thank you for hosting, Madameirir, and to all for joining in the fitness chat this week. This thread is closing and the new one, hosted by xx2000 will be opening for the new week
