Hello everyone and welcome to the Fit is Fun Club!
Here we share about our exercise achievements from last week and our proposed goals for this coming week.
Whether it is running, walking, cycling, or gym or anything just tell us all about it and also tell us about your goals for next week.
This is not a competition and the idea is to declare your own plans to get/keep fit and get encouragement and support from fellow members.
If you are used to post photos please feel free to post as many as you wish. (You have to do a separate post, then copy and paste the link to your reply here).
This week I’ll be skiing in Tirol but I should have a good enough internet connection. Hopefully there’ll be enough snow.
This week I cycled and I managed to complete a 10km run in 1 hour and 2 minutes. I’ll have to train more to win 3 minutes and complete it in 59 minutes. My plan for this week is skiing and enjoying my free time.
I’ll be happy to read all about your achievements this past week!! 😊🎉

I started 2 years ago.. MW was off the lead and saw a white cat... the cat ran.. MW chased and I had to follow!! I learnt that although I hadn’t run since my school days.. it didn’t kill me and I actually felt quite good.. so I’ve been running - walking with MW ever since..
I wouldn’t say I could do 5k but am happy to do little 100yd sprints and on our regular walk up the farm track- it’s down hill coming back so I love to see how far I can go before getting breathless each time! 🙄
Thank you.. The Pilates comes to an end this Friday..
so I’ve just signed up to Boogie bounce... I’m told this...
“Boogie Bounce - Is a Fun and effective full body aerobic workout suitable for all abilities and ages. Higher level and lower level options are given throughout all of our classes, in addition our Trampolines have a T-Bar handle to aid balance and stability. This allows us to all work out together at our own pace. All classes are held under our funky disco lights so it really feels like a party rather than a work out!”
Trampoline and dancing 💃🏻 I will let you know how it goes.. it starts a week on Friday!!
We’ve certainly had plenty of rain , hopefully the wind will die down soon so we can pop our fence panel back in properly & replant our poor little tree
Thank you for posting, Madameirir, love your snowy picture, so beautiful!
Well done on your 10k run, and good luck with getting those 3 minutes off your time.
Have a wonderful time skiing!
This week I have walked an average of 11,202 steps per day. I have decided to do 500 of my daily steps as sideways steps and heel-toe steps to improve bone density and balance.
No Pilates this week, half term.
I haven't posted a collage due computer issues. I will post one later if I get the computer sorted out.
Hola M - hope you've had time for a snowball fight (and some nice apres ski)
I had 2 days of doing nothing for various reasons and so only managed 43.36 (6.19 daily average). The good news is I should be OK if get going this week to beat last February's stats (and not just coz of the extra day!) Collage here:
Well true it wasn't all bad - but the no - no days were VERY unhealthy so gotta try to avoid more than one a week ( if I've been "good" on the other days !
Hello Madameirir and all and thank you for hosting, Mademeirir!
Well done on your 10km run and good luck with losing those three minutes! But most importantly enjoy Tirol and the snow!
Last week I managed to walk 410 minutes, did one hour of back exercise spread to four days of which one was with my physiotherapist again and went to my yoga class on Friday.
This coming week I am planning to repeat my routine but up my back exercise to at least five times a week again and hoping that slowly it will all become a habit 😉
Thank you! It’s on and off really. I think it might have to do with how much is going on at the time. The back and the psyche work pretty closely together with me to be honest 😏
I have finally got back to doing some exercise after 3 weeks inactivity due to a virus. We were away for the weekend as it was half term. We didn't do as much walking as usual due to storm Dennis but went to a national trust property on Monday on the way home. The first walk for ages but not very long as it was wet and very windy.
This weekend we have been dog sitting from Thursday to Sunday so lots of walking with him. Back to work today and a shorter workout at the gym today to get back to it after a long break. Hoping to have a proper gym session on Wednesday and Pilates on Thursday. Also maybe a swim.
Hope you enjoy your holiday and skiing- based on our weather which is going to Europe you should be ok for the snow!
Not had a good week last week in regard to exercise but I had low expectations since 3 days of last week I was either driving long distances or at my parents, so did not expect to achieve 70,000steps over the week. I managed 49898 steps totally 40.95km (which I was happy as long as it was over 30km). I did not manage the 150mins of exercise/week but did manage 126mins (102mins of brisk walking and 24 mins Wii Zumba).
This week goal is to achieve 70,000 steps over the week, Wii exercise at least once- I have Alfie for the day so will be going for a long walk on that day. I am working 5 shifts this week which restricts amount of exercise I can do- don't start today until 12 but whether I will be able to do some exercise this morning I am not sure🤔
