Hello everyone and welcome to the Fit is Fun Club!
Fit for Fun is an all inclusive club to cover all activity and all abilities and the aim is for each of us to highlight our preferred activities and give us all new ideas for exercise.
This thread will be open from Monday to Sunday and a new one posted each Monday.
The idea is for you to post your exercise achievements from last week and your proposed goals for this coming week. This will not be a competition but declared plans are easier to stuck to and encouragement and support from fellow members are good motivators.
If you are used to post photos please feel free to post as many as you wish. (You have to do a separate post, then copy ans paste the link to your reply here).
Where I live we are in lockdown so it is a bit challenging to exercise. This week I went to run just once for 40 minutes and we went for long walks with our children through the forrest. At least there is enough snow here to do some cross country skiing!!
Next week Iโll try to concentrate more on my diet๐คจ and Iโll try to go to run twice.
Iโll be happy to read all of your posts and I wish you all a nice week!๐๐

Hello BridgeGirl,Thank you. The children were on a long lockdown/ holiday... Tomorrow Iโm starting with homeschooling again๐... weโll try to do our best-
Last week, I started the Strength & Flex routine and managed to complete week 1. I had started C25k, but after the first day, I had to change my plans, as I don't think I'm fit enough for jogging yet. So I did some online videos instead.
My plan for this week is to complete week 2 of S&F on 3 days, and Leslie Sansone walks on the other 3 days. At the minute, I'm taking Friday as a full rest day, as I'm normally busiest in work on Fridays.
Hopefully it isn't quite so icy this week, and I'll be able to get outside with my dog for a couple of walks as well.
That's a lovely photo Hidden , good luck with your runs!
I've found it hard to adapt and fit in my home workouts (and get out for walks) now my son's not at school. It's get up, work/schooling somehow at the same time, then soon getting dark and dinner time etc. Will adjust better this coming week and squeeze in my 4 workouts, morning stretches and daily walks with my son. Plan to speak to my manager now she's back from leave - hopefully I can adjust my hours to make it a little easier.
Last school lockdown, I did shorter home workouts most days (instead of longer ones 4 days) as that's what worked. May revert back to that, whatever I can fit in at the moment. Just need to get out of bed a lot earlier! Good luck all.
I think we have to be flexible with our exercise at the moment. We donโt have any children to impact our plans .We are on holiday for the next two weeks as we should have been in Mexico ๐ฒ๐ฝ. When my husband is out of isolation we will go for short walks to ease him back into exercise.
Hi Hidden Thank you for hosting and giving us a lovely snowy view!
My stats for last week:-
Fitbit says I did 38,671 steps, so that was an improvement from the week before (20,249) and 167 active minutes better than the 96 the week before... ๐
I'm not working due to lockdown so less active minutes and steps for that.
I am aiming to double these figures for this week's self challenge and start exercises with wii fitness coach!! I've completed the set up section ๐
Good morning Hidden & thanks for hosting. Lovely photos, we havenโt had any snow yet this winter.I have managed a couple of walks to my local nature reserve this week & one mile on the cross trainer.
So my stats are 39 km walked , 1.6km on cross trainer and according to the Active 10 app I have walked briskly for 95 minutes out of a total of 206 minutes walked.
Hello and thank you for hosting this week's challenge. I have managed 6 days out of 7 achieving 10000 steps (86933 steps over the week), 54,4km and though no Wii exercise last week because of stuff I needed to do on y days off but did manage 232 minutes of brisk walking. This week I hope to manage a daily step total of 10,000 steps (I do have a couple of walks planned with Alfie and I'm working 3 Long Days which will help achieve that so only 2 days to make sure I go for a walk to achieve this. And I also plan to do 2 sessions with the Wii this week.
