Hi, I just signed up today....having recently left Slimming World I need something new to help me shift 3st 9lb. I lost it all with SW but it all crept back on and then some so it’s made me realise that I need to think about healthy eating rather than a diet plan. I am looking forward to a fresh start tomorrow. Does anyone have any good meal choices to recommend?x

New beginning!
Good luck, I'm hoping that using this plan and not sitting in classes with someone telling me what to do. I'm hoping that I won't feel under as much pressure from the weekly class as I used to.
I agree. It is also a time commitment to weigh and stay to group. I used to be starving On a Tuesday to make sure I saw a loss on scales! Thank you...good luck to you too x
Now you can sit at home and have us tell you what to do
Just ask if you have any questions.
so agree to much pressure I used to pig out when I lost because I felt like I deserved it and I would pig out when I didn't because I was disapointed
Hello @cartel187 and welcome
There are some good recipes here under Topics, when you find your way around. I also use some from British Heart Foundation, not that I have a heart problem, fortunately, but the nutrition is all worked out so saves me the job bhf.org.uk/heart-matters/he... People also use Hairy Dieters' books, Jamie's with 5 ingredients etc. None of it has to be "diet food", you just need to manage your portion sizes and get plenty of variety of veg and fruit - and enjoy it, then you can stick to it
Good luck
Cartel187,
This may sound a little silly - I bought a really pretty plate, one third Smaller than a dinner plate: as a child my mother called it a breakfast plate. Nowadays like everything else the breakfast plates are larger. Anyway, I have all my meals on this special plate and eat less. It really helps to control my weight.
Keeping a food diary, have a notebook and write down EVERY morsel you eat, is also very helpful; we aren't eating while writing.
best wishes
Hepzibah

Hi Cartel187
Wow this seems to be quite a common theme , people leaving SW or WW .. and yet in the newspapers they are always showing how easily and marvellous everything is for customers etc ... I do no one lady who lost so much at SW that when she apporched me at a party I did not recognise her bless her lol .. she was thrilled that I hadn’t ... I’m not sure how things are for her lately ... but I have never wanted to go to any classes like that .. I just think of “Marjorie Daws “ ( comedy sketch ) from Fat Fighters ... but that’s just me and she is only fictional if course lol
Good luck Cartel it is lovley here .. very understanding forum and so full of helpful hints and tips ... 😀🌸
I have a friend who revisits SW every couple of years... she loses the weight ok but doesn't seem to learn any lifetime healthy eating rules. So each time she reaches her target, she slowly eats it all back on again. ...until the next time...
Welcome to you.

I'm still here after 3 years.. it has helped me lose and more importantly maintain a healthy weight.
Hi I used the NHS 12 week weight loss plan which is calorie counting, the food I ate didn't really change, just the portion size and the types of food I ate over the day. I am maintaining now and still follow the plan with a higher calorie allowance. I found in the passed once I stopped thinking about what I was eating each day I started eating more so after 6 months the weight started building up again- this time I have remained focused (with the odd slip or more) and have maintained for a year which I am so proud of
